Facility

Foxtale Farm is an 80-acre farm located in the beautiful Oley Valley. The farm was purchased by Rick and Linda Furches in 1991, after they relocated from West Chester, Pa. The entire Furches family has worked tirelessly creating Foxtale Farm. For the first 6 years, they lived in a converted summer cottage deep in the woods, while they converted the rough farmland to turnout pastures and built the barn and outbuildings.

As the business has continued to grow, Rick and Linda continued developing this equestrian facility, which has expanded significantly over the past several decades. The farm is comprised of a hand-built 12 stall center isle main barn, an improved 5 stall pony barn and a custom made King Construction shed-row barn added in 2019. The property has over 45 acres of lush turnout with 6 paddocks, 8 large pastures, 6 sheds, and 2 round pens. There are also several “fat paddocks” for the easy keepers. Nearest to the barns is the original 100’ x 200’ outdoor arena, and in 2020 the Furches finished construction of an additional 150’ x 300’ arena with a breathtaking view of the valley. There is excellent hacking from the farm with some of the best views in Berks County!
